At SHIRLYN GROUP, we understand the importance of protecting the privacy of our users, customers, suppliers, and business partners while also upholding the law. As a global fashion e-commerce company, we operate in multiple jurisdictions and are committed to conducting ourselves in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
We recognize that there may be instances where law enforcement agencies outside of the United States require User Information pertaining to our e-commerce platforms. While we are committed to helping law enforcement agencies in the performance of their duties, we will only disclose or release User Information upon receipt of a valid and legally binding Request, such as a subpoena, search warrant, court order, or other legal process.
Our goal is to handle each Request in a fair, transparent, and accountable manner while ensuring that we adhere to all applicable laws and regulations. We reserve the right to reject any Request that conflicts with applicable laws and regulations or is otherwise inappropriate.
Required Information
This Guide is intended for law enforcement agencies outside of the United States seeking user information regarding users of the e-commerce platform (“Users”) operated by SHIRLYN GROUP under the domain SHIRLYN.CO.
SHIRLYN GROUP’s principal business operations are based in the United States, though our website and certain products and services may be available in other jurisdictions around the world. We are committed to maintaining the highest standards of business conduct in our relationships with our users, customers, suppliers, and business partners.
In observing the above values and principles, except as provided below, SHIRLYN GROUP will not disclose or release User Information without a valid, legally binding request (such as a subpoena, search warrant, court order, or other legal process) (“Request”) served on the appropriate contact through proper channels. SHIRLYN GROUP reserves its right to reject, in whole or in part, Requests that conflict with United States and other applicable laws and regulations or that are otherwise inappropriate.
Regarding the service of Requests, SHIRLYN GROUP does not maintain a specific agent for receipt of Requests for SHIRLYN.CO. Under applicable laws and regulations, Requests generally must be served through the various legal and/or diplomatic channels recognized by the United States and/or other relevant jurisdiction(s).
Please note that this Guide is subject to change without notice and applies only to requests from law enforcement agencies. Nothing in this Guide shall be used to create or be construed as impacting any legal obligations or any enforceable rights against SHIRLYN GROUP, or otherwise alter SHIRLYN GROUP’s legal and equitable defenses. SHIRLYN GROUP reserves all rights to the interpretation and application of this Guide.
Information That May Be Disclosed
As a responsible corporate citizen, SHIRLYN GROUP understands the importance of assisting law enforcement agencies in the performance of their duties. In order to ensure the protection of our users’ privacy while complying with applicable laws and regulations, we require certain information before we can process any Request for user information.
To facilitate the processing of your Request, we require the following information from you as a law enforcement agency:
- A signed copy of the Request, including any supporting documentation;
- Your full contact details, including your name, email address, telephone number, and physical address;
- Credentials for verifying your identity;
- Detailed identification information of the targeted person(s), including all known names, aliases, street addresses, email addresses, phone numbers, SHIRLYN.CO platform IDs, and, if applicable, relevant listings and transactions;
- A detailed description of the User Information requested, including the relevant time frame;
- A statement of the nature of the investigations or proceedings for which the User Information is required; and
- A recitation of the applicable legal grounds for the Request.
We understand that the information requested above may be sensitive, and we assure you that we will handle it with the utmost care and confidentiality. Our commitment to safeguarding our users’ privacy is of utmost importance to us, and we will only disclose User Information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
Discretion of Emergencies
At SHIRLYN GROUP, we understand the urgency of law enforcement requests in cases where public safety or the risk of harm to any person is at stake. In such situations, we reserve the right to voluntarily disclose User Information in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. However, such disclosure will only be made on the condition that a valid Request that meets the requirements outlined in our Guide will be promptly submitted thereafter. We take our responsibility to protect the privacy of our users seriously, and any decision to disclose User Information in emergency situations will be made with the utmost discretion and care.
Cost Reimbursement
As a responsible corporate citizen, SHIRLYN GROUP understands the importance of assisting law enforcement agencies in their pursuit of justice. However, in order to ensure that our resources are utilized efficiently and effectively, we reserve the right to request reimbursement for costs incurred in processing any requests. This includes costs related to personnel time, technology resources, and any other expenses directly related to responding to the request. We strive to maintain transparent and reasonable cost structures, and will work with law enforcement agencies in good faith to minimize any undue burden.
